For much of history the Church held a trusted and visible place in the life of the community. Churches helped shape neighborhoods by starting schools, building hospitals, standing for justice, and caring for those in need. The presence of the Church was welcomed and valued.
In many places that voice has grown quieter, yet the need for the Church has never been greater. We are living in a time marked by deep division, rising anxiety, and growing spiritual hunger. The message of Christ remains life giving and essential. But before it can be heard the Church must first choose to be present.
Our Mission Offering allows our churches to respond together. Through this offering we support ministry scholarships that equip the next generation of leaders, partner with local nonprofits that are serving real needs in our communities, and strengthen our growing partnership with churches in Liberia.
Together we can raise up leaders, care for our neighbors, and encourage brothers and sisters in Christ around the world.
We invite you to join us.

Into Action
In May 2024, with support from our ministry partner Bridging RVA, we tested the Mission CVA concept. Four middle district churches in Powhatan County collaborated on a teacher appreciation event, welcoming anyone who wanted to honor the faculty and staff of Powhatan County Public Schools. Through this effort, we met new people and discovered a shared purpose in the community.
