An Ocean Separates Us - The Gospel Connects Us.
What began as a friendship between Rev. Dr. Benjamin Yeanay of the Gideon Missionary Baptist Association in Monrovia and our Executive Director, Rev. John Sawyer, has grown into something bigger: a Christ-centered partnership connecting pastors and churches across an ocean.
But this connection between Central Virginia and Liberia isn't new. Our shared history reaches back generations, with deep ties between Virginia, the founding of Liberia, and the growth of the church there. Today, God is giving us an opportunity to build on that history through new relationships and a shared commitment to the Gospel.
This partnership is all about brothers and sisters in Christ learning from one another, encouraging one another, sharing resources, developing leaders, and strengthening local churches.
